Is It Easy To Get Your Mba From Harvard?

December 18th, 2009

I go to UW-Madison and I want to go to Harvard to get an MBA. I heard former president Bush got his MBA from Harvard after getting his BA from Yale. We all know a 1st grader is smarter than Bush. If I go to Harvard for my MBA will it be easy? What kind of things will you have to do? Show people how to crayon? I really want to go to Harvard.

Harvard holds its excellent reputation by being more demanding and far more difficult than practically any other MBA program. You will be competing with the best of the best to get in, and the “bestest of the bestest,” so to speak, to stay in and get the degree. Will you be valedictorian of your class? That’s who you will be competing with, and from “better” and much more selective universities than yours.
BTW, Bush is a whole lot smarter than most people give him credit for. It’s that ‘down-home “folksy” Texas charm’ routine that deceives many into thinking he’s a ditz. He gets a lot of people to underestimate him that way, but getting people to underestimate what they are up against is a very astute tactical procedure often used to gain advantage. Lawyers use it. The “good cop, bad cop” ploy is another variation on the theme.
