I am a single mom with 2 kids and I work for the US Army in a clinical laboratory. I have just graduated from college with an MBA but I am not sure how to find my first job in a new career field. I am an evening shift supervisor at my job but honestly I do not have any upper level management experience. I have applied for some government intern jobs but I am not ex-military so and they have preference for these jobs. It seems that there should be somewhere where my healthcare experience would give me an edge but I am not really sure where to begin. I am not limiting my search to healthcare though I am really just interested in finding a position that will offer me some management experience. Being a single mom though, I can’t really just volunteer or take an unpaid internship since I am the only support for my kids.
Any suggestions would be great!

If you have done an MBA and don’t know what to do and how to find a job?? This is sad!!
OK sorry for being sarcastic!! I would first look around the Internet, and the local newspapers. Talk to your MBA bodies and teachers. Are their any employment agencies in your area? Good luck

first, channel Ghengis Khan
then, tone that down a little
MBAs are paid to win
MBAs are paid to use knowledge to be ferociously effective
find some people
tell them what to do
or
create a plan
here is a plan:
MBAs frequently move towards opportunity
Seattle is full of health care jobs; UW was or is the largest consumer of US health science research grants;
thats a tip, but as an MBA you ask: where do I find that list of most endowed places
budget n plan a bunch of nterview trips to places like seattle
You could use your family caring to find the best schools n america then build your job plan around that
you could also create a temp agency like situation where you say, via what amounts to gradual spam, to a few hundred other MBAs:
I want a job, you keep a third of my first three months wages, refer me
yeah yeah I’m a stranger, but you could go on three riviera vacations just for landing me a spot, or some posh watch, or a nice wad of pure risk cash to apply your quant skills to stocks
