I will be graduating soon with a Bachelor’s in English, and I really don’t want to get a Master’s in English, too. I have had limited experience in the work world–6 months as an Administrative Assistant, which really counts as nothing. I want to start my own business, but this will take time.
Do most MBA programs require lengthy experience in the work world before you can begin the coursework?

Most MBA programs say they want students with 2-3 years work experience (not necessarily business experience), but when it comes to admission, many will accept recent graduates who have a high GPA and a high GMAT score. Some programs are designed specifically for recent graduates with little or no work experience. One of them is Rollins College, considered the best MBA program in Florida and high on the list of best programs in the US. Each school is different, check around and you might find something that fits your requirements. If the school feels that you are can be an excellent MBA student they may help you to get into a MBA program. You may have to take some extra classes. All the best to you!
